Flight of the Bat is the thirteenth hero level from LEGO Batman: The Videogame. It is the third hero level of The Joker's Return.

Opening Biography[]

Professor Jonathan Crane, AKA the

Scarecrow, is a twisted scientist whose fear

toxin stimulates the phobias of his victims.

He uses his biplane to rain terror on the

citizens of Gotham City from the skies,

causing havoc with his scare gas bombs.

Story[]

Batman and Robin return to their air vehicles, only to meet the Scarecrow in his biplane. He then throws an object at the Batwing, causing it to spin. Batman restores the Batwing to its original state and they chase after the Scarecrow. They finally defeat him in a battle. The Scarecrow loses control of his biplane and collides with the Joker in his helicopter. Both vehicles explode, causing Batman to wonder if the Joker is dead or not. The heroes leave thinking they have achieved their goal, but the two villains survive the explosion and use balloons to fall into a museum.

Walkthrough[]

At the beginning of the level, the Scarecrow will block your way with his sign. Destroy a crystal to your upper left to reveal a torpedo station. Use the Batwing to grab the torpedoes and shoot a turret to destroy the sign. The Scarecrow will keep running away from you and a helicopter shoots a hot object to block the path with fire. Use a torpedo to shoot another turret and destroy a bridge. Break a fan to reveal bombs. Switch to the Batcopter to grab a bomb and take it to the hot object to destroy it, then move on to the next area.

In the next area, use the Batwing to destroy turrets and make lightning bolts disappear. Go into the final area of the level.

In the final area of the level, you come face to face with the Scarecrow in his biplane. Use the Batcopter to hook it, then switch to the Batwing to torpedo it and damage it. Do this three times to finish the level.

S means that the collectible can be obtained both in Story and in Free Play. F means the collectible can only be obtained in Free Play.

Minikit Canisters
1. (S) Use torpedoes to destroy 6 turrets and reveal this minikit:
  1. Located at the Scarecrow sign. Required to continue the level.
  2. Located near a floating mine station.
  3. Located near the second turret.
  4. Located on the bridge of the first area. Required to continue the level.
  5. Located near the second and fourth minikit.
  6. Located near the fifth turret.
2. (S) Located near the fourth minikit and the last two turrets.
3. (S) Located near the fourth turret.
4. (S) Use a vehicle that has a hook to carry floating mines and destroy a silver box to get this minikit.
5. (S) In the second area, use torpedoes to destroy a piece of a column and reveal this minikit.
6. (S) Use a vehicle that can use a hook to carry a floating mine to three silver things to destroy them and reveal this minikit.
7. (S) Use torpedoes to destroy a fan and reveal a grappling hook. Switch to a vehicle that can use a grappling hook to put the grappling hook on a conveyor belt. Bring the grappling hook to a square shaped button to press it and reveal this minikit.
8. (F) Use a vehicle that is immune to toxins so you don't take damage from a toxic gas. Go past an H sign to reveal this minikit.
9. (F) Destroy three statues in the eighth minikit area to reveal this minikit.
10. (S) Destroy four objects in the final area to get this minikit.

Fast Walk Red Brick
- (F) Use a vehicle that is immune to toxins so you don't take damage from a toxic gas. Then shoot a mechanism to make another mechanism appear. Shoot that one too to reveal a red thingy. Shoot the red thingy to reveal this red brick.

Unlockables[]

The minikit model in this level is the Scarecrow's Biplane. At the end of the level you can unlock Batwing and Batcopter. In the Batcave or Arkham Asylum you can buy Bruce Wayne's Private Jet. You will also be able to continue to In the Dark Night. After collecting the Red Brick, you can purchase Fast Walk.
